The dog report

So last Sunday Goose (Lucy) must have been bitten by something because her face swelled up like a football!
We gave her some medication and she was fine…

Then later we saw Mandy at Target!

Hacked…

hacker

So three sites that I created and maintain got briefly hacked this morning.  Thankfully it was an ftp hack, didn’t have anything to do with my computer.  So All I had to do is change the passwords and re-upload.

On that note I wanted to go over some movie Cliches that have to do with computers that have to STOP!

  1. You don’t have to crack your knuckles before you begin hacking.  (Every movie does this)
  2. No matter how much you know about computers you cant focus video footage from a security camera just my zooming in and hitting a button.  Image resolution doesn’t work that way.  (CSI)
  3. If I hear one more, “All I have to do is hack into the main-frame”  I’m going to scream!  (MI2)
  4. Software that looks all 3D with animation…  It wouldn’t look like that…  Come on!!!  (Independence Day)
  5. Government Data isn’t always 2 clicks away.  (Smallville)
  6. Last but not least…   Laptop computers are not powerful enough to override the communications system of any invading alien society.

Trip to Ministerio Gloria De Sion

I spoke @ my first Spanish church today in downtown South Gate. I loved how if I said something in Spanish he translated to English… It’s an experience to go 2 hours of not understanding anything anyone says. It was like hitting the SAP button on your remote & not know how to change it back.

The music was filled with passion and the people were warm & inviting. I hope to get southgate involved with our camps.

Great Yesterday!

I got SOOOO much done yesterday!  I finished a sample web page for westside and finished a video for Karl Hargestam.  I also got to talk to a TON of our youth leaders here in So Cal!  Then I had a great night of TV watching, which I haven’t done in FOREVER!  Here is a short clip of my favorite scene from last night!  Enjoy!

I’m back!

WHERE HAVE I BEEN?

Glad to be back.

Glad to be back.

I haven’t blogged since Winter Camp and a ton has happened since then!  First off Winter Camp was amazing!  We saw some great things happen.  I was really happy with the way everything turned out.  We put up a recap page that can be found at socalyouth.com.  Also we put up the Showcase page that can be found in the same place.  Right when we got home we got to work on our office at the District Office.  It took us 3 days 3 cans of paint 1 trip to pick up the couches, 1 trip to Ikea and 3 people to get it done.  We finished just in time for board meeting and everyone was thrilled that we decorated the youth office.  I’ll post some pictures next week.  Boad meeting happend Monday and Tuesday…  Now here I am at home relieved that the previous week is behind us!

WORK OUT PROBLEM…

killed me...

killed me...

So now that things are getting back to normal I thought it would be good to get back into the gym.  So I went today to spin class…  It went like this:  I woke up had a protine shake and a banana then hit the high energy spin class.  About 30 min. into the class I started feeling really queasy.  I thought “Just push through it, what if Jillian was here”…  Then I realized that I was going to throw up.  So I got of my bike and jogged to the bathroom…  Sure enough it happened.  The funny thing about throwing up is you instantly feel better.  So I continued my work out!  I feel great now!
