Brinner

brinnerThere is just something about breakfast for dinner.  I made eggs tonight for Ky and I, it was SO AWESOME!  The only thing that kills me about tonight is TV. NOTHING IS ON!  Sunday’s are terrible for TV, but great for brinner.

Back to Perris-

watch out nowFor the first time in forever we’re heading back to Perris  (Spiritlife).  This Sunday I’m very excited to go back to the church I grew up in.  It’s our first time back since April.  I know it’s only been like 5 months, but still.  I know that some people won’t be able to be there because they’re spending time with friends and family for the 3 day weekend, but I’m still happy to be hanging out with some old friends.

100 posts!

100 postsHey this is pretty cool, I’ve reached a little blogging milestone.  100 posts!  It’s actually harder than you think to post something everyday.  You start off thinking “yeah, I can blog everyday”  But the truth of the matter is, IT’S HARD!  It’s easy when stuff is going on but when you’re in a moment of down time it’s tough.

Other bloggers do you know what I’m talking about?

My day in LA

FUN RIDETONY!!!going 30 miles per hour through the citybathroom signSo funny!wowshopping with the ladies? So today Ky and I went with Bishop, Sis”B”, Alan and Sandi to the LA garment district.  I was REALLY stoked that my buddy TONY came along with us.  Tony was my District Youth Director…  (he rules).  We started the day by loading into Alan and Sandi’s SUV.  I asked Alan if he wanted me to get my gps but he had been there a couple of times before so we were good.  We then laughed all the way there because Sis B was on a role and had us rolling.  So we get to LA and the place where we parked stunk.  The smell just STABBED US IN THE FACE!!!  We walked away from the area and went to a flower shop.  That’s where we found the bathroom that had the sign that read “enter at own risk”!!!  I’ve never seen that before.  We stayed in the flower/plant shop for a long time.  I felt like I was in a Jurassic park movie.  After that some guy tells us how to get to this certain store across town.  The joker gave us the wrong directions and my iPhone came to the rescue.  Using the gps feature iPointed the way.  Then Sis “B”, Sandi, Kylie and I went down to the “alley”.  The other guys stayed in the car and drove around.  Kylie wanted me to go with her and experience the district full force.  As I got out of the car I could sense that the other guys were like, “sucker”…  LOL.  Well the ladies got bags of stuff and I have the picture above to prove it.  By the way, I’m hamming it up for the camera.  We finished by eating Chinese together which was WAY GOOD considering that we were all WAY HUNGRY.  I didn’t know what to expect going down there, but all I know is I had a good time!  I never knew that going down one way streets the wrong way could be that fun.  Thanks for the day guys.  (By the way, Alan isn’t a bad driver, it’s just way confusing the way they have that set up.)

PS  It’s a long blog because I promised Sis “B” a good blog about the event.

Happy reading Sis “B”!

Garment District?

losangeles2.jpgSo today we’re going with our office staff to the garment district…  I’ve never been so I have NO IDEA what to expect.  I’ve heard stories of the this district, but I’ve never experienced it for myself.  We’ll see.  I’m not much of a shopper or fan of LA so…  I don’t know.  The good news is I finished one of my projects!!!  It’s 1:25 AM, I need to sleep!

Feeling creative…

FALL IMPACTSo all the work I’ve been doing in gfx design has paid off.  This last week or so I’ve been stretched in my abilities.  I’ve had multiple jobs that have demanded the best out of me.  It’s great because it made me go the extra mile for our FALL IMPACT design as well.  In between e-mails of drafts coming and going, I started designing the image you see on the left.  Now mind you this is no cut and paste job, this is from scratch.  It took me a while.  I also designed the socalyouth.com site to look the same way!  I’m happy work has been so demanding because it’s keeping me on my toes to not just throw stuff together but to really understand design.

Kylie and the Beatles

beatlesSo I don’t know if you’re aware but I’m a GREAT BIG BEATLES FAN.  My office is a little overboard but what can I say, I love the lads from Liverpool.  Anyhow, Kylie shares my love of British Rock, (Coldplay, The who, The Beatles, Phil Collins…)  The list goes on and on.  But usually I’m the first one to throw on a Beatles play-list.  Last night though, she was in the other room rockin’ out to the fab four.  It does my heart good to see the girl of my dreams jammin with my favorite band!

Side note:  It’s great to sneak in and see your spouse rocking out!

I picked me up at 5

eating-alone.jpgLast night Kylie went scrap-booking with some friends, so I thought I would go on a date by myself.  I actually do this more than people know.  I love going to a restaurant and just eating alone.  Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy company, but I like going out by myself too.  SO I DID!!!  I went to a movie then a little dinner at IHOP.  It was fantastic.  If you’re wondering how far this alone thing has gone, it’s gone pretty far.  Here is a list of places and things I’ve done by myself that would surprise most people.

  1. Dinner
  2. Movies
  3. Disneyland
  4. Angel Game
  5. Hollywood walk of fame
  6. There’s more but I don’t want to bore, or worry everybody…
