I’ve seen some crazy drummers in my day, but this guy wins all. You have to watch the entire performance.
I’m not knocking his skill cause he’s got it but It’s like someone gave Chris Farley some speed and a Drum set.
Thanks to my buddy Rick Favale for sending me the link.

I got in a conversation yesterday with my buddy Max Gerber about moments in the car when a slow track comes on the radio… We both admitted to making a “Rear View Mirror Music Video”. Don’t roll you’re eyes, we’ve all done it at one time or another. Whether or not you sing the song in the rear view or just act like the jam is the soundtrack to your life. It’s what I call a John Cusack moment… (Where you’re standing with a boom box above your head). I think because those things don’t happen often in real life, we get bored in the car by ourselves on long trips and want to live out our 80’s movie to our favorite tunes. It’s soooo cheesy but it’s true.
So with that, who will admit to performing in a Rear View Mirror Music Video?

Last night while driving home from work a song came on the radio that quickly transported me to the year 1991. This was the year that “Robin Hood Prince of Thieves” came out. Coupled with the movie was a song by Bryan Adams called, “Everything I do, I do it for you”. That song would be the first song I ever had a Jr. High Slow dance to. I don’t remember what the girl looked like, but I remember how awkward I felt at age 11 dancing to a song that was proclaiming that I should die for love!!!
I didn’t really know the song at the time but as we nervously shuffled back in forth like the Mississippi Mass Choir, I realized that this song would forever be marked on my adolescence’ time-line.
I don’t think I ever talked to that girl again but I remember the song. What’s REALLY crazy is I will be tied to that memory or at least the feeling of the memory every-time I hear Bryan singing about walking the line for his love. I’m curious as to how powerful this musical tie is for others.
EXTRA POINTS IF YOU REMEMBER NAMES…

Okay before I get into this I must get a few things clear. First off, I’m a Christian. But I have to admit… “THE CHRISTIAN CULTURE” That makes alternatives for EVERYTHING is pretty lame. It seems that if there is a product out on the market that is trendy or successful, “this culture” feels the need to make a watered down, lame copy with a God message. It’s like we say “Well we’re Christians, so we’re gonna need a Christian version of that”.
Anyways here we go…
My top 5 worst Christian Alternatives.

I’m not sure I even understand the concept of Christian Twitter. I heard that if you’re “chirps” don’t glorify God you can be deleted. Serious.

Back in the day I liked Carmen Just like the rest of the masses but C’mon man! There’s only one Italian Stallion!
I just felt Awkward when “Satan Bite’s the dust” had an on screen kiss.

I debated about putting this one up cause I know people who have this but the truth of the matter is? It’s just not quality and it still falls in a category of being there “just because”

This post is not meant to offend but to poke fun at a culture that was built by man not God.
I think we should understand that We’re IN the world not of it. But we are in it. I won’t live in a bubble.
